ZLS Strategic Plan 2026-2028

ZLS Adopts its Strategic Plan 2026-2028

The Zanzibar Law Society has adopted its Strategic Plan 2026–2028, under the tagline “Governing with Integrity. Serving with Excellence. Advancing Justice in Zanzibar.”

Developed following a comprehensive Institutional Needs Assessment conducted in December 2025 under the SCATZ programme, commissioned by the East Africa Law Society, the plan sets out nine strategic pillars covering governance, Secretariat capacity, continuing legal education, ethics and discipline, financial sustainability, digital systems, member services, access to justice, and gender inclusion and regional positioning.

The plan will guide the Society's institutional direction through 2028, with progress reported to the General Assembly at each annual meeting.
